Mouth breathing starts a VICIOUS CYCLE.

  • No, the fact that mouth breathing is running in your family doesn't mean "it's nothing".
  • It's a sign your child is working harder than necessary.
  • During mouth breathing, the tongue cannot widen the upper jaw.
  • A narrow upper jaw displaces the tongue farther back into the throat, where it blocks the airway.
  • A blocked airway makes it hard to breathe and keeps your child's nervous system stressed.
  • The stress at night keeps your child from getting the deep sleep they need.
  • The next morning, your child wakes up cranky, with less energy to learn new skills.

Mouth Breathing is a sign that your child is working harder than necessary and needs help.

One issue affects the next.

Tongue → Jaws → Airway → Sleep → Health

Knowing the signs and confidently acting upon them lays the foundation for your child's lifelong health.

"Based on a single picture, Dr. Lemke immediately spotted our son's tongue-tie. After the tie was corrected, all the feeding issues that had been plaguing us soon vanished. Forever grateful for this!"

Meet Dr. Lemke

A holistic dentist who knows that parents hold the power to unlock their child's healthiest life.

Dr. Ljuba Lemke is a biologic dentist, naturopathic doctor, and educator. She started her career in Germany, where she earned her dental and naturopathic degrees and her PhD in dentistry.

After moving to the US in 1996, she completed her DMD at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League School, and later served as an Associate Professor there.

For over 20 years, she has helped children grow into their healthiest selves. First came intensive training in ALF orthodontics, cranial osteopathy, orofacial myology, Buteyko breathing, and Neuro-Sequencing Integration. Then came the realization: straight teeth were never really the point. Breathing, sleep, and lifelong health were.

Therefore, after 4 decades in private practice, she closed her clinic in 2021 to focus entirely on education. She continues training dentists in the ALF approach and has been helping parents to see the bigger picture - beyond straight teeth.

Her vision is for parents to have the insights they need to catch early signs that their child needs support.
